This grass fed beef tallow lotion is wonderfully hydrating and non-greasy. It dries on your skin like a traditional store-bought lotion and will not expire over time. Highly nourishing, a little bit of this luxurious hand cream goes a long way. Great for tired hands and dry skin.
We source our tallow from Sweetgrass Dairy in Frederictown, Ohio.

When making skin care products for myself, tallow was a no-brainer! We are lucky enough to have access to grass-fed beef tallow from a local farm. The cows graze on grass year round and are fed a small amount of organic grain in the winter. Though are not ‘certified’ organic, we still consider this an extremely high quality locally sourced tallow.
WHY TALLOW?
Tallow is nature’s ultimate skincare product. It has has been used for thousands of years because it is so effective and readily available. Tallow contains many of the same naturally occurring palmitoleic acids that humans have making it super compatible for skin healing. It is rich in pro-metabolic fatty acids and vitamins including A, B12, D, E, and K. Because of this, tallow replenishes a lot of what we loose as we age naturally.
Tallow can help prevent damage to skin as well thanks to all of the skin friendly antioxidants and nutrients it has. Tallow can also prevent acne and breakouts due to the natural antimicrobial properties. This tallow butter will not clog your pores and is absolutely safe to use on your face.
Because it contains no preservatives, it is important not to get water in your tallow butter. Please use dry hands when applying the product.
BONUS: This jar also is a standard 4oz canning jar, so you can your own products in it once you're out of the tallow butter!
